GoodTeam is a virtual storytime app that allows families to connect through reading anytime, anywhere.

We use augmented reality filters to increase engagement while maintaining a realistic reading experience.

Step 1

Sign Up & Create a Room

Your room is the virtual space that your family will log into for storytime within GoodTeam.

You can have your own room and also be a member of other people's rooms as well.

Step 2

Invite Members for Free

• Members are people who do not live in your home who will be reading with your children.
• You can invite as many members as you want.
• Member accounts are always free.

Step 3

Schedule Storytime 

• Create a repeating calendar event.
• Use https://app.goodte.am/ in the meeting location.
• Invite your member(s)!

Consider setting up auto-repeating events for your family’s preferred storytime day of the week.

Step 3

Start Reading

• Log into your room.
• Check out the GoodTeam library with your Member.
• Choose a book. 
• Start Reading!

All GoodTeam books are the same length (30 pages). With animations on the reading time is usually around 15 minutes. Without animations between 5-10 minutes. 

GoodTeam offers monthly & yearly subscription for room owners.

Reminder: Accounts for room members are free.

However, we've designed the platform specifically with kids 2-8 years old in mind.

Yes! 

There is a lock icon on the screen whenever you're in the app that will lock the 'viewer' screen so no buttons can be pressed. Parents can unlock it with a simple 3-digit code.

The default code is 034. You can update this in My Account > My Room > Settings. 

GoodTeam is designed to create virtual connection with friends and family. But the platform also works as a stand alone reading platform that you can enjoy directly with your kids (without using the video call feature). 

Note: Children are not allowed to use augmented reality by law.

Both parents should create their own separate accounts. After that they have two options:

1) They can each create their own room, meaning each parent can add whichever room members they like and join other rooms as they see fit.

2) One parent can create a room and add the other parent as a member. This means only one paid account is needed, but the second parent will not have as much flexibility in terms of adding room members, etc. 

In both scenarios, the room owner will use the Change Narrator tool (My Room > Settings ⚙️ > Change Narrator) to switch who is the narrator, depending on where the child is.

Blended families should NOT use the Shared Account feature, which is for users who share household devices.

• Confirm that they clicked the invite link via email that you sent inviting them to your Room
• Make sure they give GoodTeam access to use their camera & mic during set up
• Remind them to save their password

Yes!

Using a Shared Account, you can use different devices to read with your kids when you're not at home.

Go to My Account > Profile > Shared Account.

Yes!

You can invite friends & family to sign up & create free member accounts within your room.

You can also purchase a subscription for a friend or family member who has children by buying them a gift certificate ((link)) . 

Within their gifted room, they will be able to invite you to join GoodTeam as a Member of that room.
